Fire Protection for Vital Records
Schwab’s fire resistant files, media cabinets and safes are manufactured to meet or exceed standards set by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 72 Classification. All of Schwab’s File Room or Vault Doors meet or exceed UL 155 Classification for fire resistance with water stream tests.

Schwab's Media Cooler has been tested to hold temperatures of 125° or less when used with a UL Certified fire resistant Schwab product.

Unlike other files, the Schwab products are unique in that they are not made of a multitude of panels that can be removed with a screwdriver. The Schwab file with individual interior steel drawer vault insures that the contents are not exposed to the insulating materials, which can contaminate the records.
